How has terrorism changed the American idea of justice?

I'm writing a research paper and need some other points of view on this subject. How do you feel that Terrorism has changed the American idea of Justice? Share your opinions, but please be nice. No racist answers please.

I believe the terrorist want to break our economy here in America. Sure we are calling it a war with terrorist but its not so much about them trying to kill our troops as much as they want to kill our economy and it looks like they are doing a pretty good job of it.
